Acrylic on Canvas (50x60cm)
Painted in 2018 to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. My only aim was to convey a sense of emptiness and futility following the heaviest loss of life in any previous war in history to that date. Are those two men walking away in silence or chatting to one another? What on earth would they be speaking about?
